Hoa Lo Prison

The Hoa Lo Prison has a long history! It was originally a french prison that was built to lock up the Vietnamese rebels. In 1964, the Hoa Lo Prison was used to hold prisoners of war, one of these prisoners was John McCain. The Hoa Lo Prison had several different death cells which were equipped with a guillotine and other various torture devices. To this day many Americans know this prison as the Hanoi Hilton or their resting place. When I walked in I thought about the different people who were captured and thrown in here and the hardships they went through and how much it took to get out of there.

  2. Wescott, I wondered what the prisons were like. It is amazing that a Presidential canidate spent time there and came out to do what he has done.
